Jordan Lake is named after the former senator for North Carolina B. Everett Jordan. Originally New Hope Lake (or New Hope River Valley), the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project was changed to B. Everett Jordan Dam and Lake in 1973.
This area has been the site for Native Americans, settled by Scottish Highlanders in the 1740s and now home to the Research Triangle Park.
Jordan Lake State Recreation Area offers activities such as swimming, boating, hiking, fishing, hunting, bird watching, picnicking and sky watching.
Because it is hand crafted, the wood grains and color of the paint may vary from the pictures.
Each 3D magnet was laser etched/cut and hand painted. They are 4" in diameter and 1/4" thick.
