Team
Meet Our Creative Minds
Our team at BOCO Crafts consists of a trio of neighbors who became partners in business and family. Although we have titles, we collaborate across our roles and generally like to have fun creating and producing our products. We pour our passion into every creation from concept to completion and through many iterations until we have a product we are proud to call our own. With a shared commitment to quality and innovation, we work tirelessly to bring you the finest handcrafted products that reflect our love for artistry and design.
Amy Jefferson
A mechanical engineer and lean expert tired of the corporate world, she had dipped her toes in the art of woodworking. With a process mindset and the love of working hands on, she spends her days between sawing, drilling, sanding and gluing. When not in the shop, she works updating social media and websites as well as documenting and collecting the business data.
CEO, Novice Woodworker, and Data/Social Media
Debra Jefferson
CFO, Planner, and Sales Extraordinaire
Retiring as a middle school teacher and counselor, Debbie is skilled in marketing and selling, as well as being our resident paint mixologist. With her gift of gab she always finds ways to connect to our customers and highlight the features of our designs. Need a color? She only needs the basic colors to match what she needs. When not in the shop, she spends her time managing our individual sales and wholesale and volunteering at Martha's, our local thrift and food pantry.
Patrick Adkins
As a skilled cabinet maker and overall woodworking master, Patrick is always coming up with new ways to create unique items. His love and knowledge of wood began at an early age and his mind is constantly swirling with possibilities. He calculates, works and reworks designs to ensure it is visually attractive and a functional piece of art. When not in the shop he spends his time on contracting projects, building his tiny house and enjoying the beauty of Eastern NC.
COO, Designer, and Master Carpenter
Calvin Adkins and Riley Jefferson
Dogs, Shop Pets, and Definitely Spoiled
A blue heeler and a mutt became siblings complete with rivalry, jealousy and stealing each other's toys because of BOCO Crafts. Both have their blankets to lay on in the shop but are also comfortable on the couch or bed. Riley would rather be snuggled up with a human on the couch napping, while Calvin could play fetch all day long. Calvin has never met a ball that shouldn't be his and Riley has never met a human who shouldn't pet him.
