Lake Norman is an artificial fresh water lake in southwest North Carolina. The largest lake in the state, it was created between 1959 and 1964 as part of the construction of the Cowans Ford Dam by Duke Energy. It was named after former Duke Power president Norman Atwater Cocke.
 
Lake Norman area is known for boating, fishing, and birding.  Lake Norman State Park formed in 1962 by Duke Energy is an area for hiking and biking trails.
 
Because it is hand crafted, the wood grains and color of the paint may vary from the pictures.
 
Each 3D magnet was laser etched/cut and hand painted.  They are 4" in diameter and 1/4" thick.
