Lake Norman is an artificial fresh water lake in southwest North Carolina. The largest lake in the state, it was created between 1959 and 1964 as part of the construction of the Cowans Ford Dam by Duke Energy. It was named after former Duke Power president Norman Atwater Cocke.Lake Norman area is known for boating, fishing, and birding. Lake Norman State Park formed in 1962 by Duke Energy is an area for hiking and biking trails.

These were laser etched/cut, hand painted and then filled with clear food grade epoxy enhancing the 3D map.  They are 4" in diameter and 3/8" thick.
